Beef and Burgandy

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. stewing beef

  • 2 sliced onions

  • 4 sliced carrots

  • 4-6 sliced potatoes

  • 2 cans golden mushroom soup

  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs (optional)

  • 1 cup burgundy

  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Place beef in bottom of casserole dish.
  • Layer half of the potatoes, onions and carrots. Repeat layers with remaining vegetables.
  • Pour mushroom soup over beef and vegetables. Pour burgundy over all and top with breadcrumbs.
  • Baked, uncovered, for 3 hours.

Note: Serves 6.
