2 lbs. stewing beef
2 sliced onions
4 sliced carrots
4-6 sliced potatoes
2 cans golden mushroom soup
2 tablespoons bread crumbs (optional)
1 cup burgundy
Salt and pepper
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Place beef in bottom of casserole dish.
- Layer half of the potatoes, onions and carrots. Repeat layers with remaining vegetables.
- Pour mushroom soup over beef and vegetables. Pour burgundy over all and top with breadcrumbs.
- Baked, uncovered, for 3 hours.
Note: Serves 6.
